Promo for an upcoming comic that I've been brainstorming recently. I know Icey has already kind of had his own spotlight in the series, but I feel like the reason being for another one with him is warranted.
I didn't necessarily "kill off" Icey for a plot device to cover bad writing or anything like that but to go into depth about one of ZE's most developed characters post mortem. Making him one last miniseries in his honor is only right if you ask me. This makes him the first character to die in the main timeline of the series. Uncharacteristic of it, huh?
Also, been talking to Bluray last night. He might even end up reading this, and also, it seems like he will be rejoining Team Escobar. Thank god!

An issue over 3 years in the making. It should have been released much sooner, but there is a thorough, lengthy story behind it... But hey, at least Blu has returned to Team Escobar! With all he's done in the meantime it's as if he never left. Read about it here.
ZE started to kind of decline after I left chiLL (emphasis on those capital Ls, fucking L takers, yes I hold a grudge and yes it's justified, they know that too) because the only person part of Team Escobar anymore was Bluray. With that said, he basically was the leader de facto in a way. He was singlehandedly continuing ZE in spite of my absence.
He had a sequential set of comics following Holly's campaign for homecoming queen. The problems though, as he said in the aforementioned blog, included him having several other ideas for ZE being unveiled.
The "cancellation" in late 2015 didn't help, either.
What really baffled me though was when he wrote "It's Zay's choice as to whether he wants to put it in the comic canon or make a 2017 guest archive. Or ignore it entirely idk." He has no idea how close I was ready to urge him to return to ZE. When I talked to him that night about that remark, I asked him, word for word:
"NIGGA U MADE THE COMIC DIDN'T U?"
Meaning, he was already part of Team Escobar, and in this case I shouldn't have (the choice) to acknowledge it. So this is today's showcased comic. Bluray's return after all this time feels really miraculous.

Sorry about the comic drought. Shit happens. People can only make so much time for themselves, especially when others are dictating what to do with their time. It's frustrating. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone in particular because that's just the way it is, but I am working diligently to bring this idea I had for Icey to life. Stay tuned!

All filler aside, Icey is finally beginning to reflect on his life. Is he saying it for sympathy? In a way, yes. Dude has gone through hell purgatory and he's looking to destroy it as we speak. He's too self aware to handle at this point; thus, he's taking no prisoners. That has allowed him to muster the strength to collect himself and explain himself.
Also, the dumpster baby is not a reference to Family Guy. It's actually an allusion to New Jersey's own Melissa Drexler. While she was at her senior prom she delivered a baby and hid it away from the rest of the world. I won't get into specifics, but regardless, controversy ensued.
And Icey's parents were from Camden but attended HS in Philadelphia with each other stfu
